Land Locked Quilting Cruise
This sounds like a dream! I am sharing this with all of you who are interested in learning more about quilting. What a great way to learn – getting together to do some hands-on sewing with others who can help teach you on-the-spot. A land-locked quilting cruise is my kind of vacation! Check out what The Quilt Rambler is up to (and if you register before March 1, you save $50 on your sewing retreat!).
I’m gathering a few of my friends, with the hopes of making new friends, at the beautiful Hilton Hotel NASA Clear Lake for a 3-day excursion!
Land Locked Quilting Cruise™ will be May 12-15, 2021.
I’ve rented a HUGE room so we can each have our own 6-foot table for our sewing station. The number of participants will be limited to ensure the proper spacing of our sewing stations. The hotel accommodations are beyond fabulous overlooking Clear Lake and the NASA area, with pricing so competitive you can choose to have a room to yourself or bunk with a friend.
And did I mention FOOD! What’s a cruise without food! A welcome reception Wednesday night with delicious catered luncheons each day so we don’t have to leave the ship, er, hotel! Dinner is on your own as you may want to explore the culinary delights of the NASA area. Breakfast is provided with your hotel room so there are no worries of not eating well just like an ocean-bound cruise!
What about the quilts?
Glad you asked!
I will be teaching each day one of my new quilt designs from my very first Signature Collection designed for me by Kathy Engle of Island Batik. You’ve heard me mention Vincent’s Garden of course! The fabric is shipping any day now to local shops. Several blog hops are coming soon so stay tuned for more about the fabrics…
The quilts are designed to teach the use of Deb Tucker’s Studio 180 Design tools – so even a confident beginner can do these patterns. (Confident beginner means you are comfortable with a rotary cutter and understand the concept of a quarter-inch seam).
Fabric kits are available for each quilt. You may choose to work on one, two, or all three! Either way, all the patterns are included with registration. If you would like to substitute fabric a supply list will be sent to you ahead of time to be prepared. And did I mention that we will have the classroom facilities available for open sewing after class hours! Yep, you can sew sew sew into the wee hours!
I am offering $50 off the $250 registration through March 1st! Visit my website under the tab Land Locked Quilting Cruise™ for all the information.
Sewing friends are never alone! Can’t wait to sew together!
