3 Helpful Sewing Machine Presser Feet

Most sewing machines come with several standard presser feet.  These standard feet will allow you to do many amazing beginner projects, however, there are a few additional feet that I wanted to bring to attention that can help bring your sewing up to the next level:

Guide Sewing Machine Presser Foot

The guide sewing machine presser foot is a great tool to help you get your lines straight. It also helps you to easily match up your border designs with the red lines of the foot. The horizontal red line matches the needle drop so you can line up the start of each row. The small red mark denotes the center of the design for lining up with the marking for the first row.

If you would like to add this to your sewing supplies, one that might be compatible with your sewing machine can be found on Amazon here.

Rolled Hem Presser Foot

The rolled hem presser foot is a great tool to add to your sewing supplies! It can be used to finish countless projects. For any domestic sewing projects, the rolled hem foot helps keep your hem in place without constantly realigning. A hem sewing foot kit is a great accessory to aid in accurate hem binding.

Want to add this to your sewing supplies, find it on Amazon here.

Overlocker Side Cutter Attachment

The overlocker side cutter attachment can be an alternative to purchasing a serger. It can cut your material as you sew, as a serger would. This gives you a more finished look. Its function is to imitate an overlock or overedge stitch on a sewing machine. It allows you to easily sew an overcasting stitch to lock thread around the edge of the fabric. This perfectly aligns with the edge.
